Staff Game Assignments

Assign umpires and other staff to games using the Umpires & Staff sections.

The Assignments page is where you plug specific people into specific roles for each game — separate from setting up your roster.

Setting Up Roles

Before assigning anyone, make sure roles exist for your event.

  1. 1

    Click "Manage Roles"

    On the Assignments page.

  2. 2

Add default roles or your own

Click "Add Default Roles" to quickly add common roles (Announcer/Scoreboard, Scorebook, Media, Pitch Count, GameChanger, 50/50, Anthem, and Umpire Home/1st/2nd/3rd), or add your own custom role titles.

  3. 3

    Toggle each role as needed

Each role can be marked Active (shown in the assignment grid) or Hidden, and separately shown or hidden in staff members' own "preferred role" picker.

Two Sections: Umpires and Staff

The assignment grid automatically splits into two sections:

  • Umpires — any role with "Umpire" in its title (e.g., Umpire Home, Umpire 1st)
  • Staff — every other role (Scorebook, Announcer, Media, etc.)

Within each section, games are grouped by division and listed chronologically, with a column for each role.

Assigning Someone to a Game

  1. 1

    Find the game and role

Locate the game (row) and role (column) you want to fill.

  2. 2

    Click the cell

It's outlined in red if unfilled, green if filled, and yellow if the assigned person has since marked themselves unavailable.

  3. 3

    Choose who to assign

A pop-up shows eligible staff split into "Confirmed Available" and "Unconfirmed," so you can see at a glance who's said yes. Anyone marked unavailable, or already assigned to a different role in that same game, is left off the list.

  4. 4

    Assign or remove

Click a name to assign them, or click "Remove Assignment" to clear the slot.
